Loneliness and social isolation are devastating mental health risks, equated to smoking 15 cigarettes a day (U.S. Surgeon General, 2023).
What if we could transform our stories into strings of connection and collective healing? Through Threads to Hope events, your story will become part of a massive string art bridge with over 700,000 threads - representing lives lost to suicide last year.
Become a Threads to Hope sponsor at no cost, and join us in weaving a future of courage and connection.
CREATING SAFE CONTAINERS FOR THE STORYTELLERS EXPERIENCE.
Flatbread Media and Mentally Shredded are partnering with the Building Bridges project to record and share your stories of resilience and transformation. Both partners have lived experiences in mental health and will treat every story compassionately. Through expert storytelling, they capture each journey, ensuring voices are heard and experiences celebrated,
helping to inspire others on the path to wellness.
Imagine your story as a healing sound—a resonance that echoes wellness and compassion—a golden thread gifted to lift others from the shadows of mental illness and carry them to the other side of crisis. What if your journey—your struggles, breakthroughs, and hard-won victories—could become a beacon for others, guiding them across a bridge from illness to wellness?
A roadmap for those on their path to recovery?
Through the Building Bridges project, we invite you to share your unique journey to wellness and contribute a “golden thread” to our collective tapestry of healing. This is more than just storytelling;
it's an act of courage and connection, a chance to transform your experience into hope for others.
When you join us as a storyteller, you become part of a powerful movement, creating space for voices long unheard and inspiring strength in those still finding their way. Your story will become a “golden thread” in our exhibit, woven together by visitors as they witness our shared resilience.
Together, we’re building a bridge from illness to wellness, from silence and isolation to courage and collective healing.
